The HD-3 High Energy Pulse Degausser for hard drives and LTO tape is a high energy, DC capacitive discharge degausser capable of erasing hard drives and high-coercivity tape media in under 10 seconds. The HD-3 High Energy Pulse Degausser’s user-friendly input system provides effortless loading of various sized hard drives and tape media without the need for adapters. Once degaussed, the media is automatically released and slides down the exit chute.

The HD-3 High Energy Pulse Degausser will erase all hard drive and tape formats that fit in the 6.75” x 4.5” x 1.3” degaussing chamber. Media formats include hard drives, LTO, SuperDLT, DLT, 9940, 3592 and more. With a continuous duty rating (no cool down time necessary) and 10 second cycle time, even large quantities of media can be degaussed in a very short period of time.

Since it does not rely on software, the HD-3 High Energy Pulse Degausser also has the ability to erase failed or damaged hard drives and tapes, completely and permanently, regardless of the operating system.

The HD-3 High Energy Pulse Degausser is exceptionally user-friendly. Simply slide your media into the slot on one side of the machine, push a single button, and within two seconds your media will discharge to the output slide on the opposite side of the machine.
